BEFORE THE MOUNTAINS

The little details.
A more relaxed arrival.

Ski days, family moments and the practical side of your stay. Here are a few things worth knowing before you pack.

How far are the ski lifts?

From Route de Chermoran 10, the mapped driving routes are approximately:

  • Violettes / Barzettes: 2.8 km, around 5 minutes to the Télé Violettes stop beside the base station.
  • Montana–Arnouva: 4.2 km, around 8 minutes to the base station at Route de Vermala 7.

These Google Maps estimates were checked on 25 September 2026. Allow extra time for snow, traffic, parking and the walk to the lift. Plan a transfer from the chalet rather than ski-in/ski-out access.

Do we need a car?

We recommend a car for the most flexible stay, especially with children, groceries or ski equipment. Two parking spaces and complimentary EV charging are available at the chalet. Please check charger compatibility with us before arrival.

A stay without a car can be planned around public transport and taxis; check the final connection to the chalet and evening return times before booking.

Can we arrive by train and use local transport?

Travel by train to Sierre, then use the Sierre–Montana funicular or a regional bus. The funicular serves Bluche on request. Plan the complete journey from your departure point to Route de Chermoran 10 using the date-specific timetable.

Free SMC shuttle buses operate within the resort. The free shuttle network does not mean every journey from Sierre or Bluche is free: check your route and fare.

How close is Les Roches hospitality school?

Les Roches Crans-Montana is approximately 550 metres away, around a 7-minute walk from the chalet to the campus at Route des Moulinettes 2 in Bluche. This makes Trois Sapins a convenient base for parents visiting students, attending an open day or spending time together around a campus visit.

The walking estimate was checked on Google Maps on 25 September 2026. Allow extra time in snow or ice, and confirm the meeting point for your visit with the school.

Is the chalet suitable for families, and how many people can stay?

The chalet accommodates up to 10 guests, including children, across four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. Two children’s high chairs, bed linen, towels, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and tumble dryer are provided.

Please ask us to confirm the bed arrangement and any cot or stair-gate requirements before booking. Children need supervision around the fireplace, stairs, balcony and garden.

What can children and non-skiers do nearby?

Crans-Montana’s winter family programme includes Snow Island, the Arnouva beginners’ area and Ycoor ice rink. Check seasonal opening dates, age requirements and any charges directly with the operators.

What are check-in, check-out and the minimum stay?

Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:00, Swiss local time. The minimum stay is two nights; the online enquiry calendar accepts stays up to 28 nights. Early arrival or late departure requires prior written agreement with the host.

What is included in the price?

Bed linen, towels, ordinary utilities, tourist tax, Wi-Fi, two parking spaces and EV charging are included. The kitchen has a coffee machine and kettle, and firewood is provided.

Final cleaning is CHF 250 and the refundable damage deposit is CHF 1,000, shown separately in the stay estimate. The website total is indicative; the host’s written offer confirms the full price and payment arrangements before you accept.

Are longer stays and quieter dates better value?

Stay a little longer and the calendar estimate automatically applies an accommodation discount:

  • 7–13 nights: 10%, or 15% on low-season nights.
  • 14–27 nights: 18%, or 22% on low-season nights.
  • 28 nights: 25%, or 30% on low-season nights.

Low season covers April–June and October–November. School holidays carry a seasonal uplift. Christmas/New Year and the 1–14 February 2027 World Ski Championships receive a maximum 5% longer-stay reduction. For stays crossing seasons, the saving is calculated night by night; special date-specific prices are already final and receive no further reduction.

Cleaning and the refundable deposit are separate and are not discounted. Select your dates to see the exact saving and full indicative total. The minimum stay remains two nights.

Does sending a request reserve the chalet or charge my card?

No. Select your dates and send the online enquiry. This does not reserve nights, create a rental contract or take a payment. The host replies by email with availability, the full price and booking conditions. Your booking follows the written offer and acceptance process stated in that offer.

What happens if we need to cancel or change our stay?

For a confirmed stay, the current rental terms provide these accommodation-rent refunds:

  • 30 or more calendar days before arrival: 100%.
  • 7–29 days before arrival: 50%.
  • Fewer than 7 days, a no-show or early departure: no contractual rent refund.

Deadlines are inclusive at 23:59:59, Europe/Zurich. Before the stay begins, unused final cleaning and the damage deposit are refunded in full. Statutory rights and any required credits for saved costs or reletting remain unaffected. Date changes need written agreement.

Send cancellation requests through the contact form or the email in the legal notice, identifying your booking. Read the full cancellation terms before accepting an offer. Cancellation insurance is recommended.

Are pets, smoking or parties allowed?

Pets require the host’s prior written approval. Smoking and vaping are prohibited indoors. Parties and events require prior written consent, and quiet hours are 22:00–08:00. Only registered guests may stay overnight.
